Petal to the Metal with Stephanie Chavez 2-5-27 Tucson

Learn how to texture, fold, and form bronze metal clay, then transform those individual components into a beautifully dimensional flower inspired by the playful shape of childhood pinwheels.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore techniques for creating dimension, and structure in metal clay as you construct and securely attach each element to build your finished flower. You’ll also learn how to precision-set a fireable CZ, which will be fired in place to add the perfect touch of sparkle to your design.

Previous metal clay experience is suggested, although this workshop is designed to be enjoyable and approachable for all skill levels. Whether you’re new to metal clay or looking to expand your construction skills, you’ll be guided through each step of the process.

Base metal clay requires an extended firing process. Because of this, your finished pendant will be available for pickup the following day or can be mailed to you at no additional cost.

Material Kit Includes: Bronze base metal clay, fireable CZ, use of shared tools, consumables, and printed instructions. All tools will be provided for students to use during class. Kit fee $35
