In this hands-on class, students will learn the classic Byzantine chainmaille pattern while creating a beautiful solid copper bracelet. This timeless weave has been used for centuries and results in a flexible, elegant chain that works perfectly for jewelry.

Using just two pairs of pliers, you’ll learn how to open and close jump rings and assemble the distinctive Byzantine pattern step by step. This project is approachable for beginners and a great introduction to chainmaille techniques.

No experience is necessary. Students who use magnifying glasses for close-up work are encouraged to bring them.
