Learn construction techniques that allow you to create a bold, dimensional pendant that feels substantial without adding unnecessary weight. You’ll learn how to sculpt, layer, and build around a beautiful dichroic glass cabochon to create a striking, dimensional flower design that is both lightweight and full of visual impact.
You’ll explore techniques for creating dimension and structure in metal clay while thoughtfully incorporating glass into your design. The result is a statement pendant with plenty of personality—without the heaviness you might expect from a piece of this size.
Because of the detailed construction and precision required for this piece, previous metal clay experience is highly suggested. This workshop is best suited for students who are comfortable working with metal clay and ready to take their skills to the next level.
Co-firing metal clay and glass requires an extended firing process. Because of this, your finished pendant will be available for pickup the following day or can be mailed to you at no additional cost.
Material Kit Includes: Fine silver metal clay, dichroic glass cabochon, use of shared tools, consumables, and printed instructions. All tools will be provided for students to use during class. Kit fee $115
Please note: The material fee is based on current metal and material costs as of August 2026 and is subject to change based on fluctuations in metal prices and supply costs.
