Bada$$ Bronze Bolo Bold in Bronze: Create a Bolo Tie
Create a one-of-a-kind bolo tie using bronze metal clay! In this hands-
on, one-day class, you’ll learn to shape, texture, and refine bronze
metal clay to create a distinctive bolo slide, including its fittings and
findings. Explore techniques for creating recessed surface textures
and dimension, adding embellishments, and preparing your piece for
firing and finishing.
Whether you’re drawn to Southwestern style, bold jewelry, or simply
want to try something new with bronze metal clay, this class offers an
opportunity to create a unique piece of wearable art. Your finished
bolo slide will be paired with a bolo cord and your findings to
complete your statement piece.
Skill Level: Minimal metal clay experience strongly recommended.
Toolkits will be available to borrow for those that need one.
Kit Fee: (payable to instructor) $65 and includes bronze metal clay,
40” of woven leather cord, custom textures and template, use of press
molds and all consumables.
