Build bold texture, depth, and luminous color as you design and create a one-of-a-kind texturedmetal clay pendant with a framed focal “window.”
In this hands-on, one-day workshop, Patrik Kusek will guide students through designing astatement pendant that features rich, layered surface detail and a colorful center accent. You’ll explore how to combine multiple textures for dimension and visual interest, then bring yourdesign together using dry-to-dry construction techniques allowing for clean assembly, precise placement, and refined surfaces.
To complete your piece, you’ll create a striking framed center element and learn finishing techniques using UV resin and gold foil to add vibrant color, brilliance, and shine.
In this class, students will learn:
∙How to design and construct a textured pendant using fine silver metal clay techniques.
∙Multiple methods for building layered texture and strong surface dimension.
∙Dry-to-dry construction for assembling, refining, and strengthening elements of a
design.
∙How to create a framed focal “window” feature for a bold center point.
∙How to add luminous color and accents using UV resin and gold foil.
∙Essential finishing, firing, and polishing tips for a clean, professional result.
Kit Fee: $100 — UV resin supplies and silicone bowls will be available to use during class.
