River & Beach Pebbles with Stephanie Chavez
Date: Tuesday September 29th, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM–1:00 PM EST
About the Class: A spin-off of Stephanie’s popular Beach Pebbles workshop, River & Beach Pebbles invites you to create a one-of-a-kind pebble-inspired design in bronze metal clay.
Inspired by the natural beauty of stones found along sandy beaches and winding riverbeds, you’ll build and layer bronze clay to create recessed areas that will later come alive with color. Choose your inspiration—or create your own interpretation—with a cool blue palette reminiscent of beach pebbles, water, and sea glass, or a warm, earthy palette inspired by river stones, earth, and nature.
You’ll learn how to blend and layer pigments directly onto your fired bronze piece, using color to bring your design to life. Your piece will then be finished with UV resin, adding depth, dimension, and a beautiful glossy surface that makes the colors pop.
All skill levels are welcome! Whether you’re brand new to metal clay or an experienced artist looking to expand your techniques, Stephanie will guide you step-by-step through construction, firing, coloring, and finishing.
Please Note About Firing & Finishing
Because bronze metal clay requires a longer firing process, your piece will need to be fired after the workshop. A demonstration of the coloring and finishing process will be provided so you can complete your piece at home at your own pace.
For students taking both workshops in person, there may be an opportunity to complete the coloring and finishing of this piece at the end of the second class.
If necessary, your finished piece will be mailed to you after firing so you can complete the coloring and finishing at home.
