In this two-day course, students will learn the basic techniques of soldering sterling silver, copper, brass and metal clays. As well as fusing fine silver, Argentium and metal clays.
Students will make four projects including fine silver post earrings, fine silver and Argentium fused earrings, .950 OneFire soldered ring with a stone and a .950 OneFire, copper/brass pendant with a stone.
Camp PMC Course 101 is a pre-requisite to this course. A copy of the Camp PMC Course 101 Certificate must be presented upon request.
Students will receive 15g of PMC3, 25g of PMC OneFire 950, bezel cups, a selection of gemstones, silver solder, copper sheet, silver ring stock and silver earring posts.
Upon completion of the projects and lecture time, students will take a short written test. Each student will receive a Certificate of Completion from Sawtooth School for Visual Art.
