Little Fish Link – Exclusive class for in-person students only! Michael will teach each of you how to make these adorable little fish links. Students can make custom links for their Ornate Chain projects or use the little fish links for future projects. The little fish links utilize Michael's unique style of geometric patterns and clay construction.
Kinetic Fish Pendant - Join Michael as we explore the depths of our creativity below the waves. This advanced skills workshop will teach you how to make a fully finished, kinetic fish with a dichroic glass eye of your very own, using PMC Flex. We will design and construct our pieces using the wet/dry method, using multiple textures, coil embellishments and our own imaginations.
Ornate Chain – Join Carrie as she guides you through this challenging project. This ornate chain is constructed of three types of metal clay projects along with heavy gauge sterling wire components. Carrie will teach you how to make floating spinner beads from clay, then suspend on sterling links. You will make three metal clay links utilizing textures, templates and snake rolls. As well as three metal clay links with hand sculpted seashore designs. Each metal clay link will be connected using sterling wires. Heavy gauge sterling wire will be formed to create decorative links, and finer gauge wire will be used for jump ring connections. Once complete your ornate chain can be worn alone OR with your Kinetic Fish Pendant.
Gold Plating – Exclusive class for in-person students only! After a super creative few days of constructing your fish and chains, Carrie will show you how to add pure gold to your work. Carrie will demonstrate how to use a pen plater to plate 24k gold onto the surface of your fine silver work. Each stroke of the pen is literally the Midas touch!
