CharmTree Jewelry Studio, 1200 Butterworth Court, Stevensville, MD 21666
Learn how to start incorporating traditional metal smith techniques into your metal clay work. By soldering bezels to your metal clay, you can set cabochons easily without the worry of bezel shrinkage. In this class, you will make a fine silver metal clay pendant. After firing, you will learn to make a bezel from fine silver bezel wire and solder onto your finished pendant, then set the stone. Carrie will provide detailed instructions from designing and metal characteristics, to soldering and polishing. You will have access to try a variety of tools and equipment to help you decide what would be best for your future projects. Students will finish a fine silver pendant and leave with the expertise and knowledge required to solder metal clay jewelry on their own.
Kit Fee: $55 due to instructor at start of class.
Kit includes 15g PMC3, .999 bezel wire, stone of your choice, .925 jump ring and use of materials and tools.
