We are excited to announce that Jennifer Knollenberg will be teaching the Project X Base Metal Certification during the Tucson Gem Show!

There will be a special Meet-and-Greet Thursday February 4th  from 6-8pm.Open to all students registered for this class or for those interested in or already certified by Camp Metal Clay.

Carrie Story

is the President of Clay Revolution and co-inventor of Project X metal clays. She has been teaching metal clay for more than 15 years and is a Camp Metal Clay Principal Instructor, teaching workshops nationally and internationally. Her work and expertise have been featured in numerous jewelry and craft magazines, online publications, blogs, and industry media. Carrie is known for combining technical knowledge with an energetic, approachable teaching style that encourages experimentation and creative problem-solving. Her aesthetic draws from the edgy spirit of the ’90s, balanced with organic forms, texture, and a love of the unexpected. Carrie’s classes are designed to give artists practical skills, fresh ideas, and the confidence to make them their own.
Michael Marx

Michael Marx

a lifelong artist and sculptor, has a passion for transforming visions into 3-D art. Originally from Massachusetts, he moved to California in 1987 and later settled in South Carolina. Initially working with FIMO, a polymer clay, Michael discovered metal clay in 2000 and found it to be the perfect medium for his intricate designs and detailed textures. His work pushes the boundaries of metal clay, demonstrating that it is truly fine art, not just craft. www.unsaneart.com

Stephanie Chavez

is a jewelry artist and educator specializing in metal clay and mixed-media techniques. She is known for blending technical skill with organic design, helping makers expand their creative confidence while learning practical, repeatable processes. Stephanie teaches internationally through workshops, retreats, and virtual events, where she shares innovative approaches to metal clay, fabrication, and design. Patrik Kusek

Patrik Kusek

is an internationally acclaimed jewelry artist known for his innovative work with metal clay. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and the Academy of Art University, he creates pieces with organic forms and intricate textures, blending beauty with craftsmanship. He was the featured artist for the Metal Clay Artist’s Symposium (MCAS) 2025, and a former Senior Instructor for Rio Grande. He is currently a volunteer with the Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide (AMCAW) as a board member and a member of the curating committee. As an award-winning artist and educator, Patrik shares his knowledge globally through teaching and his platform TextureSmith.com.

Location and Cancellations

Find us in Meeting Room B, nestled between the showroom hallway and the outside terrace. This year, all our classes will be held indoors for your comfort!

You'll find us at the exquisite Casino del Sol, located at 5655 W Valencia Rd, Tucson, AZ. The casino offers the added convenience of free parking and a variety of fantastic restaurants and amenities.

While shuttle stops are planned at the casino twice daily, we understand your schedule might require more flexibility. In that case, considering a rental car or shared ride could be the most convenient option for ensuring you make it to your class on time.

Cancellation Policy

For classes paid and registered through this website, cancellations will be refunded in full with three weeks notice. If cancellation is not received with three weeks notice, 50% of class fee will be refunded. No refunds for cancellations under 48 hours. If cancelling, you must provide the name and email that the class was registered under. If no refund was available due to your circumstances, you may request your kit within 1 week of the class date.

Cancellations and refunds for classes paid on another website will be subject to the policies on that website.

Class sizes are limited for personal attention so register early!
